What is fogging?

Fogging is a key method for controlling pathogen risks in the workplace

What is fogging?

Fogging machines are used for the effective application of chemical solutions that disinfect the air, surfaces and equipment it is used on. It has predominately been used in the food and medical industries, but advancements in equipment and chemical solutions has made fogging a cost-effective way to decontaminate any type of premises.

Through vaporisation, the equipment uses a fine spray to apply non-toxic and non-corrosive solutions that destroy airborne and surfaced based pathogens, killing 99.9% of known viruses, bacteria and fungi including coronavirus.

Electrostatic spraying is the method of applying a solution that involves an electrical charge, creating disinfectants that wrap around and coat surfaces evenly, effectively creating a shield that gives complete coverage.

To be fully effective, an environment should be thoroughly cleaned prior to fogging to ensure the correct decontamination process is followed.

What are the benefits of fogging?

-      It’s the easiest way to protect large areas and cause minimum disruption to your business

-      The spray ensures that hard to reach areas are protected without the need to move equipment or furniture

-      It’s safe to enter your premises within an hour of the application

-      It’s suitable for use on all electronic equipment

-      ATP testing allows us to quickly measure the success of each treatment

Is fogging safe?

Fogging is the safest and most efficient solution for decontamination. Operatives must be wearing appropriate PPE and trained in the correct application techniques to avoid unnecessary and costly mistakes.

Our chemical solutions are environmentally safe, non-corrosive and gentle for humans, animals and plants as it’s made using purified, deionized water & an antimicrobial compound. Its Quaternary Ammonium Compound is commonly used antibacterial agents found in products such as toothpaste, contact lens products, cosmetics, soaps.

Is fogging effective?

Yes. Vaporisation treatment using our industry leading chemicals from Zoono and Medi9 are proven to kill 99.9% of viruses, bacteria and fungi including COVID-19.

Our teams will conduct ATP testing before and after application to prove how effective each treatment is.

What chemicals are used?

Fogging machines can use a wide range of chemicals, but it’s always best to use solutions that are water-based, non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-irritant.

Our monthly solution utilises the globally leading microbe shield by Zoono which offers protection for up-to 30 days between each application. Zoono’s exclusive products use a unique and advance technology that resembles a shield that has a layer of microscopic pins that attract, pierce and kill pathogens.

It’s the same principle as a pin popping a balloon. And in the same manner that the burst balloon cannot be reformed, neither can the pathogens – this means no resistance and no superbugs. The microbe shield then continues to work for up to 30 days, making it ideal for environments where there is a risk of infection.

Zoono is environmentally safe, non-corrosive and gentle for both humans and animals as it’s made using purified, deionized water & an antimicrobial compound. Its Quaternary Ammonium Compound is commonly used antibacterial agents found in products such as toothpaste, contact lens products, cosmetics, soaps.

What premises are suitable for fogging treatments?
